During the spring - fall seasons, flowers and vegetable gardens at the Inn attract numerous butterflies! Frequently deer may be spied while relaxing on the balcony. In the winter, we keep sleds on hand for when it snows!

General Information: Welcome to The 1878 Sage Inn and Stagecoach Station Bed and Breakfast in Dover, Kansas ... built in 1865 at the base of the Kansas Flinthills to offer food and lodging to travelers on the Southwest Trail. The Sage Inn features 18 inch limestone walls, hand-sawn cedar shingle roof, and wide plank pine floors.
It is a full three story structure built into the side of a hill, giving it a two-story appearance from the front. The Folk Victorian has been completely restored and appointed with antique furnishings. Each room has its own unique decor, and each has a private bath. No common walls adjoin rooms, ensuring complete privacy. Suites may be arranged by combining more than one room on the upper and lower floors. All guests have access to a commons area for reading, watching TV or playing games.
