Activities/Attractions: The Free State is a rural province of wide horizons and blue skies, with farmland, mountains, goldfields and widely dispersed towns. The Free State border on the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, North-West, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng Province and also shares a border with Lesotho.
The Free State Province disposes of an extensive system of parks and reserves, including one national park (Golden Gate) and more than 80 provincial, municipal, and privately owned nature parks, nature reserves, game reserves, and game farms. Activities include bird and game viewing, trophy and biltong hunting, hiking, horseback riding, biking, 4X4 off-road driving, camping, climbing and spelunking.
Besides the very attractive Golden Gate Highlands National Park, the game and nature reserves of Sterkfontein Dam, Willem Pretorius and Soetdoering are of particular interest. They are never as crowded as the big game parks in Mpumalanga or in KwaZulu-Natal. Another major destination in the Free State is the capital Bloemfontein which has a rich cultural offer.
The Gariep Dam is South Africa's largest and boasts some of the best watersports, yachting and fishing. Aviation facilities are superb, including two tarred & well maintained runways on an uncontrolled airport, with hangers available - a microlite & gyro paradise. Annually in December, the Dam hosts an international glider championship which attracts a worldwide attendance.

double sleeper couches in a double size lounge. Sliding doors lead
onto a long veranda and entertainment area. Sleeps up to 8 persons

a fully equipped "Granny Flat" with 2 single beds and an
on-suite toilet and bath. Large yard with lush trees and access to a
small pool. Has its own private braai area and a quaint 2 seater,
romantic "Lapa"

the newest unit that sleeps 4. Fully equipped with 2 single beds
in an open plan room and a double bed in the primary room that has an
on-suite toilet and shower. All new "Simonz" beds, "ice
white" linen and all new equipment. Private yard with lush trees

decoder, only the 4 SABC channels are active
- There is a strict "Non
Smoking" rule in all the units, however, smokers are allowed to
