Activities/Attractions: The Windward Oahu town of Kailua - population 36,513 - is only a 15-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu. Kailua is first and foremost a beach community. In fact, the steady onshore trade winds makes Kailua Beach one of the world's pre eminent windsurfing destinations.

Kailua Beach Park, often voted as the "Best Beach in the World", is a wonderful place to enjoy swimming and other recreational activities. The beach is stunningly beautiful and is perfect for photo shooting and honeymoon. This premier beach is 2 miles long covered with white sand.

Kailua is a self-sufficient town with a strong sense of community. Christmas and Fourth of July parades are held here every year. There are Little League games, block parties and canoe paddling events. For its residents, Kailua represents the good life.

Lois also operates another Ocean View Home in Kailua, Hawaii. This is a very clean newer home with beautiful ocean and mountain views. "Thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at the Hula House. Accommodations were better than expected. Our girls loved having their own bedroom. I personally enjoyed having high speed internet to keep on my volunteer role in our local soccer club SurDel Girls Soccer. My wife enjoyed the Lanai and actually got to finish three books! Hope to drop in again in the future Lois!"

General Information: Welcome to The Hula House in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii ... located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It is an older Hawaiian Style home so come and visit and have all the fun in our wonderful Kailua that we all love and cherish. Enjoy the simple things not the fast paced style of the mainland. Slow down to a snails pace and relax. You will feel great, happy and relaxed when you leave our tiny town. This is a great neighborhood.

Hula House is 5-10 minutes walking distance, a block and a half to the most beautiful beach in the world, Kailua Beach and 10 minutes drive down the road to Lanikai Beach. It's just over the hill to Kaneohe and five minutes to the Marine Base ... maybe a 20 minute walk to Kailua town and 5 minute drive. Home features include:

"Thanks for the wonderful visit. The master bedroom bed was the best we've ever slept on! The children had plenty of room and especially enjoyed the closed in porch. It's always great to stay with in walking distance of the beach - though we did get out to bellows on the weekends."
