Nearby Attractions: Within thousands of acres of natural forest, Wildernest Inn is a secluded hideaway on its own 80 acres.

One can watch the hawks soaring in the sky, deer at the pond, periodic parades of wild turkey and visits by curious black bears. You can enjoy quiet time, either in the private spaces of the Inn itself or wandering through the beautiful acreage.

At the bottom of the property is the almost mile-long South Mill Creek Lake where guests can make use of the Wildernest canoe and limited fishing gear.

In addition there is a two-mile nature trail around the lake for hiking or jogging and of course there's trout and bass fishing.

General Information: Welcome to Wildernest Inn and come and enjoy the magnificent winter picture postcard views and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Snowshoe through the wooded acres on marked trails or just curl up with a good book beside one of our fireplaces. Warm food, warm beds, warm atmosphere, and warm hosts! Accommodations at Wildernest Inn in Petersburg, West Virginia include:

The Recreation Room located in the finished basement has a pool table, darts, board games and cards for your enjoyment, and for your entertainment you're invited to relax on comfortable sofas and either choose from a variety of books or select from a wide range of videos where there is something to suit all tastes.
