Activities/Attractions: Jacksonville Beach is located east of Jacksonville, Florida, an island in NE Florida. Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intra-Coastal Waterway, you'll find miles of un-crowded white sandy beaches. Jacksonville Beach is a solid business, resort and residential community of over 21,000 offering full services: electric, water, fire, police, streets, and recreation facilities.

Jacksonville Beach offers some of the best sport fishing, boating and water sport opportunities in the country. Play in the ocean, walk or collect seashells along the beach, or stroll along the Sea Walk and watch for porpoise year-round or the northern right-whales that winter off our coast.

  • At the Sea Walk Pavilion, you’ll find concerts or festivals nearly every weekend from April through October
  • Jacksonville Beach is also known for its many great restaurants
  • Enjoy Florida's finest seafood, local specialties, or ethnic cuisine. Dine on the oceanfront or along the Intra-Coastal Waterway and top off the evening with live music and entertainment at our local nightspots
  • Get into the swing of things at our 18-hole municipal golf course, nearby daily fee courses or play a famous resort course such as Sawgrass or TPC
  • The Beaches area is home to more than 20 golf courses maintained year-round. Explore the new International Golf Hall of Fame and International Golf Library at the nearby World Golf Village
  • If shopping is your idea of fun, our art galleries and antique shops will keep you busy. If history is your interest, then the northeast corner of Florida offers much to explore
  • Known as America’s First Coast, A1A takes you along the shores first discovered by Ponce de Leon from Amelia Island to St. Augustine

"Wonderful, our first experience with a bed and breakfast we were very pleased. Will try and stay at B&B's rather than motels in the future."

"We were lucky enough to have my son reserve the whole house for our family, we came from Hawaii, Alabama, California and Florida. We all found the Fig Tree Inn charming and had a wonderful time! The rooms are comfortable and delightfully decorated, everything that you could possibly need is provided, and although antiques are featured throughout the house you'll be happy to know that the appliances are up-to-date. Only a short walk to the ocean and to antique and gift stores - what more could anyone ask for!!"

"Have stayed in B&B's before and this one rates at the top. Gracious hosts; quiet environment; very close to beach; give them a serious look."

General Information: Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the Fig Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast in Jacksonville, Florida is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern Beach style. Extensive, but extremely careful, remodeling projects have been done over the last few years. The original wooden floors, walls, and ceilings were refurbished in beautiful, serene colors.

"If you really enjoy Southern hospitality, you'll enjoy being at the Fig Tree Inn. Kevin and Dawn, the owners of Fig Tree Inn are wonderful hosts. Although you will never lack for anything at this graceful home a block from the beach, Kevin and Dawn are gracious enough to be there for conversation when you are in the mood but are just as capable of "leaving you be" on the front porch to read, talk or daydream. As I told Dawn, the photos on the Internet do not do this wonderful place justice. We stayed in the Bird Room and when it says "view of the ocean," you don't have to crane your neck to find the sea! This place was on the verge of extinction but their loving care has brought it back. If you are looking for a room with a view, this is it."
