"We were lucky enough to have my son reserve the whole house for our family, we came from Hawaii, Alabama, California and Florida. We all found the Fig Tree Inn charming and had a wonderful time! The rooms are comfortable and delightfully decorated, everything that you could possibly need is provided, and although antiques are featured throughout the house you'll be happy to know that the appliances are up-to-date. Only a short walk to the ocean and to antique and gift stores - what more could anyone ask for!!"

General Information: Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the Fig Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast in Jacksonville, Florida is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern Beach style. Extensive, but extremely careful, remodeling projects have been done over the last few years. The original wooden floors, walls, and ceilings were refurbished in beautiful, serene colors.

We have been featured in the "Jacksonville Magazine" as one of the best porches in Jacksonville! Modern conveniences were added and much care taken to retain the home’s unique flavor. The Inn is now a charming bed and breakfast with:

"If you really enjoy Southern hospitality, you'll enjoy being at the Fig Tree Inn. Kevin and Dawn, the owners of Fig Tree Inn are wonderful hosts. Although you will never lack for anything at this graceful home a block from the beach, Kevin and Dawn are gracious enough to be there for conversation when you are in the mood but are just as capable of "leaving you be" on the front porch to read, talk or daydream. As I told Dawn, the photos on the Internet do not do this wonderful place justice. We stayed in the Bird Room and when it says "view of the ocean," you don't have to crane your neck to find the sea! This place was on the verge of extinction but their loving care has brought it back. If you are looking for a room with a view, this is it."
