Trains & Buses are also handy. Old Guildford Town was settled in 1829 and is situated between the Swan and Helena rivers. Guildford is quite small and boasts four Hotels, a good variety of restaurants, and interesting shops. There are many enjoyable walks. This is the gateway to the Swan Valley with it's many wineries that produce a wide range of excellent wines. To accompany the wine there is a gourmet food trail. Not only is the Swan Valley beautiful but it produces a wonderful selection of fresh produce. Most of the wineries have restaurants & cafes that have excellent menus. Just a few of the Swan Valley attractions include, Golf, Horse riding, Galleries, River Cruises, Kayaking, or "The Maze". If Golf is your game the picturesque "Rosehill" public golf course is just 5 mins drive, an you feel like you are in the countryside. The internationally known golf course "The Vines" is just 15 mins away. Tennis courts may also be booked, in the heart of Guildford. On the right weekend you may catch a game of Polo at "The Kings Meaow" polo fields. Of course international cricket is also played at "Lilac Hill" cricket grounds on the banks of the Swan river.

General Information: Welcome to Fauntleroy House B&B ... one of Guildford's gracious old homes of generous proportions, circa 1902. Featuring rambling verandas, comfortably appointed rooms, ensuites, a swimming pool, & surrounded by gardens ... a warm welcome is waiting for you in the Swan Valley of Western Australia. Situated at the gateway to the Swan Valley, the one acre property has been lovingly restored to resemble it's former glory.
