Many people chose Jobsons Cove or Astwood Park as a spot to get married in! There are several good restaurants in Warwick, and it is home to Spicelands Riding and The Windreach Recreational Village. St. Mary's Church is the nicest old church in the parish. There is also a bowling alley, on Middle Road. The views form the Harbour Road, and indeed the South Shore are absolutely stunning. The main city of Hamilton is easily and charmingly within reach by a short walk along Harbour Road to a ride on one of Bermuda's quaint ferry boats. Granaway is also convenient to the Middle Road bus routes. Our central location enables our guests to travel to the South Shore beaches only 2-3 miles distant in 5-10 minutes by moped or taxi or an enjoyable 30-45 minute walk, part of which is along Bermuda's scenic railway trail and picturesque Tribe roads. Special features at Granaway include a luxurious garden where guests may choose to enjoy breakfast. The elegant swimming pool is surrounded by lush tropical foliage where one may be lulled by the sounds of the fountain. There is also a waterside patio and swimming area excellent for an early morning dip, snorkelling and barbequing and stargazing. We invite you to join us in an intimate moment enjoying the sun as it sets gloriously over the Somerset shoreline. "The Granaway Guest House is a very nice place to stay in Bermuda and of course one of the least expensive options. The room was spacious and clean, the owners very friendly, and the fresh baked muffins and toast w/jam was a great start to the day. They have a really nice pool with a fountain that my kids loved, and since it's a guest house, chances are you'll have the pool all to yourself." |

General Information: Welcome to
Granaway Guest House ... an elegant
manor house built in 1734, looks out on "Granaway Deep"
and the sparsely inhabited islands scattered throughout the Great
Sound. "Granaway Deep" was a prime anchorage for the
privateers in the 18th and 19th centuries and Granaway, as well as
several other stately waterfront homes, was used as a storeroom for
the "booty."

"My wife and I just returned from a week at the Granaway Guest House and highly recommend it. We are frequent visitors to Bermuda and Granaway is a great find. We rented their cottage which is very quiet and private - with its' own garden and a very complete kitchen. The pool is lovely and their deep-water dock was a great place to watch the sun go down. Finally, the owners, Carol and Michael are very gracious hosts who will do everything possible to please their guests." |
