Activities/Attractions: Countless centuries ago, the inhabitants of the Four Corners area of southern Colorado discovered a mineral-rich hot springs on the banks of the San Juan River. During the 1870's a U.S. government fort, Fort Lewis, was established near the site of the springs, and shortly thereafter, a town called Pagosa Springs began growing up along the banks of the San Juan River.
Pagosa Springs boasts a number of sights, sounds, and experiences which are unique to our cultural heritage and location in the Four Corners. From museums to rodeos to world-famous hot springs, Pagosa Country has something for all ages and interests.
The resort town is nestled in a wide mountain valley, surrounded by pine-covered hills, rolling grassy meadows, and blue mountain lakes, and bordered on two sides by the dramatic peaks of the San Juan Mountains. Pagosa Springs offers a mountain paradise to visitors and residents alike. Tall pine trees cover the glorious 35 acres of mountainous rocky terrain and spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed whilst relaxing on the spacious decks.
General Information: Canyon Crest Lodge in Pagosa Springs, Colorado was built entirely by its English owners and as its name implies, the lodge sits near the edge of Martinez Canyon 7,400 ft. above sea level with magnificent views of Pagosa Peak and the Great Divide to the north, the beautiful valley of Pagosa to the south and the magical archaeological site of Chimney Rock to the west.

Guests have a large lounge with stone fireplace where during the winter months can enjoy the roaring log fire. There is a large hot tub to soak away the aches of winter sports or summer hiking whilst still enjoying the wonderful views Canyon Crest can serve evening meals with wine beer or spirits, or just soft drinks to be enjoyed whilst sitting on the deck in the summer months or by the log fire in winter.
