Activities/Attractions: Established in 1886, Fort Myers is the historical and governmental hub of Lee County. Nestled along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River, the city has become an interesting blend of young and old.

Sporting the youngest population in Lee County with a median age of 32, the City of Fort Myers is also home to the historic winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Extensive renovation of the historic downtown waterfront is underway, with new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments, and artistic venues providing energy and growth.

Throughout the year, Southwest Florida residents and visitors enjoy cultural events overlooking the river at Centennial Park and the Fort Myers Yacht Basin.

The B&B is within walking distance to the Caloosahatchee River, Centennial Park and many fine restaurants. The Boston Red Sox spring training facility and the City of Palms Park are also close by.

Day trips may include Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, or the Everglades.

General Information: Welcome to the Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast nestled between the Edison-Ford Winter Estate and the Old Fort Myers, Florida Downtown area. The Inn has off-street parking, a handicap accessible suite with ramp, and central air conditioning. The Hibiscus House welcomes well supervised children and is a non smoking facility.

Leslie and Bill Seiden, resident innkeepers, bring over 25 years of hospitality experience from Long Island, New York. They have given the Inn a new signature look while maintaining the charm of this 1912 homestead that is flanked by a 14 mile palm lined boulevard. Our 5 rooms are:

• Bougainvillea Room: A romantic white netting over a queen size bed with full bath.
  
• Jasmine Room: This is our handicap accessible equipped room with separate twin beds.
  
• Orchid Room: A Bombay netting over a queen size bed with live orchids in the room and a full bath.
  
• Palm Room: A four poster queen size bed in an elegant tropical setting with an extra large shower and its own TV.
  
• Periwinkle Room: Newly decorated with a day bed, small refrigerator, and full bath. It is perfect for a small family.
