Activities/Attractions: Once home to whaling, fishing, salt works, and asparagus farming, Eastham is now best known for its beaches and conservation areas. As Gateway to the National Seashore Park protecting over 27,000 acres of the Outer Cape, and one third of the town of Eastham, both residents and visitors can revere in a land little changed since Thoreau wrote his masterpiece, 'Cape Cod', over one hundred years ago.
Eastham, with its vast town conservation areas including The National Seashore Park and the Massachusetts Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary, has some of the best, most diverse, and most accessible nature spots in the East. Eastham has it all, including:

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, the Night Heron Cottage B&B is a bright, cheerful traditional Cape home with beamed ceilings and wide pine board floors and gas log fireplace. The cottage offers 3 comfortable rooms:

private bathroom, ceiling fan, phone, cable TV, and zone heating/AC

Green Tea Room features a king-sized bed, sitting area, private

The Night Heron Cottage is only minutes away from fresh water ponds, First Encounter Beach on the Bay, National Seashore Park’s famed Coast Guard Beach on the ocean, Fort Hill Nature Trails, Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
The Night Heron is only 175 ft. away from Town Cove and kayaking or canoeing. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac off Town Cove, the Night Heron is a bright, cheerful Cape home offering gas log fireplace in living room, screened porch, peeks of Town Cove at the breakfast table, and Bayberry Room or Suite. A full bath is located between the rooms. Each room has a sitting area, ceiling fan, telephone, cable TV, VCR, and individual room air conditioners.
