Activities/Attractions: Eureka, in Humboldt County - northwestern California, is a port on Humboldt Bay. The city is a lumbering, tourist, and commercial fishing center, and a junior college is located here.
Humboldt County is a haven for travelers. It contains more than 100 miles of unspoiled coastline, hundreds of thousands of acres of coast redwood trees, several wild rivers, as well as bustling seaports, quaint farming communities and historical areas.
