"My family and I are very seasoned veterans of The Aspen Lodge ... You have the option of staying either in the main lodge, which is considered one of the largest log cabin buildings in Colorado, or you can stay at any one of the independent smaller cabins that are located throughout the grounds of the lodge and can accommodate any number of people. We always stay at the main lodge with a second story room facing Long's Peak. The rooms are nice and we love having access to the main lobby which has a beautiful huge fireplace and all the coffee and hot chocolate you can drink. Its always a perfect end to our days out in the snow. The service is always top notch. They are all very friendly and are more than happy to go out of your way to make sure you are happy ... The resort has a main restaurant that serves quality food that has never let us down. There is also a bar with a pool table and TVs that are great for relaxing. We always stop by there and have a couple of drinks and play some pool. The bar also offers typical bar food, which is great for a cheap night ... The Aspen Lodge is just a great little resort up in the mountains where you can relax and get away."

"Food was 3+ stars. I live in the SF Bay Area and am somewhat of a food snob. The meals were quite good, especially for a base camp sort of place. And the wait staff was consistently top notch ... The range of activities was great for us. There was something for everyone (horses, biking, swimming, ropes course, hiking, etc. etc. etc.). I would add, however, that if you're a couch potato and/or physically challenged, you might need to just stick to the spa ... The activities staff (Jason/Andrew) were fantastic. They went out of their way to modify schedules and event content to suit our group. Those guys are all about customer service."

"My Husband and I showed up and were instantly impressed with the rustic style lodging. Entire staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed a wonderful sleigh ride through the forest and ice skating on their lake. It was the best vacation we have ever taken and we will return for another visit."
