Activities/Attractions: Polson is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation in a natural amphitheatre at the south end of Flathead Lake.
This charming lakeside community is the trading center for one of Montana’s most fertile farming areas. In a prime cherry growing region and home to numerous cherry orchards, Polson celebrates with an annual Cherry Festival.
The broad, sweeping Mission Valley south of Polson is bordered by the rugged, snow-capped Mission Mountains.
The Flathead River that flows from Polson features whitewater rafting and Kerr Dam. The National Bison Range at Moiese with its large herds of bison, elk, deer, antelope and bairn sheep is nearby, as well as the Ninepipes and Pablo Wildlife Refuges for bird watchers.
General Information: The Mission Mountain Resort in Polson is an 80 acre sanctuary with mountain streams and beautiful wild flower trails in the majestic Mission Mountains of Montana.
The air is pine-scented and you can see Flathead Lake and the Valley below for as far as your eyes are good.
Our Resort has Cabins, Rooms, a Lodge and The Great Stuff Store. Come stay a day, a week or as long as you wish.
Miles of mountain trails lead from the resort, including Hellroaring Pass to the Swan Valley, with picturesque views from the Flathead Valley to Big Mountain in the Whitefish Range.
Our hospitable Lodge accommodates both small and large groups.
The decor has a Wild West flair which includes a vintage nineteenth century soda fountain.
