All of the communities are on the Ontario Federation Snowmobile
Trail System that offers over 320 km. of enjoyment on constantly
groomed trails. Loring is a snowmobile crossroads between many
larger populated areas.
The Greatest Snow on Earth falls on the Near North Area of Ontario, blanketing over 3,400 kilometers of the finest groomed trails this side of snowmobile heaven.
The Near North Trail Association represents fifteen snowmobile clubs within 120 km radius around North Bay. This network of trails offers you spectacular scenery, frozen lakes and massive snowbound forests ... the ideal place to learn one of the fastest growing winter sports in North America.
Lake Commanda frontage, combined with Lake Restoule and Stormy at the rear, we have the perfect spot for your fishing excursion.
Other lakes such as Duncan and Rainy hidden in the forest nearby all stocked with Pike, Perch, Bass, Pickerel and many others, it will be difficult to make a decision where to start!
General Information: Only three and a half hours drive from Toronto Airport, Chalet Casamia is set in 168 acres of scenic farm land overlooking Lake Commanda in a small but friendly town called Restoule.
For Snowmobilers and ATV riders, being on the main snowmobile trail for the whole of the near North Area, it is an ideal location to explore the whole region without unnecessary detours.
Also having lake access directly to Commanda Lake and Lake Restoule only a two minute drive, its a fisherman's dream.
Casamia is designed as a well appointed holiday home and cottage style accommodation with 5 rooms, four having private facilities, plus an additional 4 piece bathroom in the basement adjacent to the Recreation room.
We at Casamia can accommodate up to 12 adults comfortably with a mixture of twin, double and triple bedded rooms.
