Owner: Helen Wildman Accommodations: 12 cabins + 3 B&B guestrooms. Address: River Road, Severance NY 12872 USA (Lake Paradox) Sawmill Road, Severance, NY (Red House) Click here for location. Telephone: 518-532-7734 Activities/Attractions: Near the cabins are nature trails filled with fresh blackberries and raspberries during the growing season. Often wild turkey, deer, turtles, and other wildlife can be seen in the meadows around the cabins. Fishing and hiking are favorite pastimes here, and in winter our guests enjoy cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowshoeing on the property.
We also have easy access to some excellent ski resorts (the closest being Gore Mountain) during the winter season as well as many other seasonal Adirondack Park attractions including Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Crown Point ruins, the renowned Adirondack Museum, as well as Adirondack Park hiking and nature trails. There are often special historical events such as re-enactments at local historical sites as well as folk, bluegrass, and traditional Adirondack musical concerts and festivals. Locally, the Seagle Colony and the Schroon Lake Arts Council present a full schedule of musical performances. "The arts come to the Adirondacks for the summer season." In Schroon Lake (just three miles away) there are antique stores and a wide range of excellent restaurants. The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce offers information on many of these activities. |

General Information: Lake Paradox Club is a collection of charming cabins located at unspoiled Paradox Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. These "pet friendly" cabins are available for rent by the week in summer, and in "off season" (spring, fall, and winter), can be rented for two days or more.
We also have Red House Bed and Breakfast a short distance from the lake on the outlet brook. The view of the brook and the bird feeders attract many forms of local wildlife including hummingbirds and squirrels for a lovely morning atmosphere while eating breakfast. We have several rooms available for rent in a comfortable family environment.
Our website keeps a current list of availability for the cabins during peak season, and during the "off season" there is usually plenty of flexibility with rental dates. Some of our current guests have been coming for three or four generations, and the property has been in our family for six generations. Breakfasts, at your convenience, include cereal, fresh fruit, our farm fresh eggs, hickory smoked bacon, and homemade breads or muffins. Payment Accepted: Checks, cash and money orders. Rates: (Prices quoted in US Dollars). $80-100/night (Red House) $700-$1,500/week during the summer season. Please see our website for off season rates. (Cabins) |
