Activities/Attractions: Napier - the so called Art Deco Capital of the World, is only 15km away and has a lot to offer: excellent restaurants, eateries & bars, wineries, pleasant shopping centres, theatres, museums, Marineland, Aquarium, Kiwihouse, arts and crafts.

Close to Napier, Hastings and Havelock North also have a wide range of exciting opportunities to experience: Cape Kidnappers, Te Mata Peak, wineries, orchards, arts & crafts.

In close proximity there is the Esk River, the Mohaka River (excellent trout fishing), Riverlands Wilderness Retreat and the Cotsworld and Trellinoe Gardens. In another direction there is Waipatiki Beach, Tangoio Falls and Lake Tutira and four well known Wineries (Linden Estate, Eskdale Winegrowers, Esk Valley Estate & Crab Farm Winery).

Some of the major events that take place throughout the year are: Harvest Hawkes Bay Weekend, The Mission Concert, Art Deco Weekend, A&P Show and the Blossom and Summer Festivals.

General Information: On the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, nestled amongst 4 wineries in the tranquil and picturesque Esk Valley, just 15 kilometres from Napier, is a haven for the weary traveler ... Cornucopia Lodge.

Situated on a 3 acre block planted with a variety of fruit & nut trees, the fully self contained lodge is privately located with expansive views over gardens and grapevines to backdrops of pasture and forest planted hills. Cornucopia Lodge caters for up to 4 people in two guest rooms each complete with its own well appointed ensuite.

• the fully self-contained lodge features a lounge with wood panelling and an open fire ... pleasantly furnished, including television, video, stereo and telephone. It opens onto the sunny verandah overlooking the front garden
  
• dining room has extensive views across the grape vines of Linden Estate Winery and has access to the front verandah

There are two bedrooms, both with en-suites. One bedroom has a double bed and has access to the front verandah, while the other has a queen size bed and opens onto its own private deck. For chilly evenings there is an open fire in the lounge giving warmth and atmosphere. Additionally, the lounge, dining room and bedrooms also have electric heating.
