Activities/Attractions: The Chippewas of Georgina First Nation consists of three islands, Georgina Island, Snake Island and Fox Island. Also belonging to the Chippewas of Georgina First nation is a small area of land at Island Grove, on the mainland near Snake Island. The islands lie approximately 2 km off the southern shore of Lake Simcoe.
Georgina Island "Heron's Landing " Cottage is situated on Lake Simcoe. The car ferry runs from Virginia Beach Marina which is about a 45-minute drive from Toronto! On the mainland, enjoy:

We are only forty minutes to Casino Rama and one hour to Canada's Wonderland. On the Island, features include the Georgina Island Craft Store, Georgina Camp Grounds, The Island Convenience Store, extensive hiking nature trails that are parallel to none, a volleyball court at the Island Arcade to rent and guided tours of the trail system.
General Information: Heron's Landing Vacation Cottage is a very private island cottage for the discriminating guest and a fun and unique vacation experience ... located on Georgina Island on South Lake Simcoe, about 4 miles east of Sutton and Jackson's Point, Ontario, Canada.
The waterfront is beautiful and sheltered from heavy waves in summer for fishing and water skiing. Other winter and summer properties available: great for ice fishing, ski-dooing, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Fish hut rentals and guides available.
Lake Simcoe is known worldwide for its abundant summer and winter fishing and boating, waterskiing and other water sports.
The cottage, on the second level with a great view of the lake, has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 9+ and has room for blow up mattresses.

Bev owns a craft shop right in the yard and sells a variety of things including dream catchers and native crafts, also painted garden stones and windows/screens etc.
We have access to a couple of more cottages so if the group is larger it may be possible to accommodate them in more than one cottage subject to availability.
Family groups preferred but we will consider others as well.
