Activities/Attractions: Over 18,000 acres of water and 285 miles of shoreline make Mark Twain Lake Northern Missouri's largest lake. The construction of the Clarence Cannon Dam on the Salt River in Ralls County in 1984 formed the lake, which is situated about 120 miles (200 km) North-west of St. Louis. About 36,000 acres of public land surround the lake.
Many boat ramps, campsites, and trails are available for use by the public, year round. Much of this land is also open to hunting when in season. Although the lake's largest attraction is fishing there are many other things for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. A quiet, country atmosphere and thousands of acres of public lands and waters await you at this secluded hideaway.

General Information: Welcome to Cannon Dam Cabins ... where all of our cabins are very modern, and offer comfortable yet affordable accommodations suitable for large or small groups ... with their own private fishing lake and sleeping up to six people.
Our facilities also include everything to make your stay a relaxed and pleasant experience, with daily, weekly and monthly rates available for camping, condos, cottages or a stay in our motel. Stay on one of our spacious full hookup sites which are designed to offer the convenience of home in a quiet wooded setting.
We have special suites available for large groups. Our cabins come fully furnished for your comfort and convenience. Located only 1/2 of a mile from the nearest marina and boat launch, our cabins are the closest lodging to Mark Twain Lake. Cannon Dam Cabins offer:
