Activities/Attractions: The Jordaan District of Amsterdam is very popular with artists and students, sort of a Greenwich Village. Built during the early 19th century boom days it was an area for low income workers to live. Neglected for decades, it was scheduled to be demolished in the 1970s to make way for new development, when the neighborhood came together and protested the plan. Now the area is being restored as yuppies take over.
The Jordaan is mostly residential with cafes, restaurants, antique shops, and bookstores. The small amount of traffic in the area makes it very quiet and pleasant to stroll around.
General Information: Situated in the centre of Amsterdam and with everything inside new, is this apartment of about 90 square metres, situated on the ground floor and luxuriously renovated. The cosy and famous Jordaan with all her nice shops, restaurants and bars are nearby. You can reach this apartment easily by public transport.
After the entrance you come in the kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with an RVS gas oven with cooker hood, dishwasher and refrigerator.
The backside of the apartment gives a wonderful view of the Westerkade (small canal). The high ceiling and the original rafter structure gives this apartment a little bit extra charm.
On the ground floor is situated the bedroom, bathroom and the separate toilet. The bathroom is fitted with bath, shower and washstand. The bedroom is on the backside of the apartment, with a beautiful canal view.
